MEMBERSHIP
Becoming a RBF member is the easiest way to support our organization! As a perk you receive access to our lending library of carriers as well as discounts and perks at several local businesses. Even if your children are grown this is an excellent way to provide continued support and give back to the organization that may have given you a safe start in babywearing! VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
Do you have a heart for babywearing and supporting other caregivers of young children? Our group needs you!
If you have been considering getting involved, now is a great time! I can tell you that the group is run by an amazing team of women and you will make friendships while supporting an awesome nonprofit at the same time. You also do not need to feel like an advanced babywearer to volunteer, though you may find that you become one!
Unofficial Volunteer: Anyone can be an unofficial volunteer and it takes no paperwork to get started. Simply let us know you would like to participate and we will point you in the directions we need help. These areas might include setting up and taking down tables, running errands, helping members sign in, making and or printing signs/promotional material, etc.
Official Volunteer: They have the option to attend leadership meetings and vote on current issues the group is deciding upon if they choose. They also help with library organization, carrier check in and check out, member sign in, signing up new members, attending outreach events, etc. They can also hold official positions on the board. Becoming an official volunteer requires a simple application to be filled out. Official volunteers can check out carriers from the lending library for a reduced fee of $10 per year!
MAKE A DONATION
Our organization always appreciates the generosity and involvement of people like you, with every contribution going towards making Redding Babywearing Fellowship an even better Non-Profit Organization than it already is.
You can donate at any time through Paypal (reddingbabywearing@gmail.com) or with cash or a check at one of our meetups. All of the donations we receive go to filling our lending libraries and organization expenses. None of our volunteers receive any compensation or financial benefits and your donation is tax deductable!
DONATE MATERIALS
Carrier donations from individuals should be in good condition with all buckles and materials intact. They should be free of major stains and damage. This is a great option for carriers your family is done using but are still ready to continue carrying babies in the future.
If we don’t currently have need for your carrier in the lending library, you may also donate your carrier to our Pay it Forward Carrier program to help a family in need.
Carrier donations are a great way for businesses to promote carrier sales and give back to the community at the same time. Our members almost always end up purchasing carriers for their personal stash that they have been introduced to through our library!
We also accept other miscellaneous material donations including customized promotional materials, carrier safe laundry detergents, baby carrier accessories, child/parent related items for end of year raffles and giveaways, etc.
PARTNER WITH US
This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved.
We offer advertising on our website and at our meetings in exchange for offering our members a discount or special offer at your local business. This is a great way to get exposure for your business and support a wonderful family oriented charity. Our members are all given a membership card that they will present at your business to receive the discount/special offer.
